“Working with Dani was one of the most delightful experiences I can recall.  It began with a phone call not long after I responded to something I saw on social media.  I knew right away that Dani’s project was special and I wanted to be a part of it.  40 women over the age of 40, telling their story through photographs with Dani on the other side of the camera is empowering, enlightening, inspiring and motivating.

Meeting Dani to pick out the wardrobe and get to know one another a bit before the actual shoot was delightful.  Dani is warm and inviting and I felt comfortable and welcomed into her home just like we had been old friends.  On the day of the photo shoot, I felt like Cinderella!  From the lovely woman that did my make-up perfectly, to the array of tasty treats Dani had prepared and my bottomless cup of coffee… she thought of everything to make me my best.   part 1

“I do love to smile, so it was even easier with Dani giving me some encouragement and tips on how to look and feel like my most perfect self.  Hours flew by and I enjoyed every moment. We met again to view the photos and narrow them down to the ones I loved and wanted to give to my husband and girls, plus the one for the final project.  It was very difficult to choose because Dani truly captured my true essence and I was blown away at how many of the shots I truly loved.  I love photos of myself.  That is rarely the case, but these were exquisite.  What a gift!

“My experience with 40 over 40 was amazing! As I am at 49 and holding for a few more months from the big 5-0, I wanted to commemorate, embrace & celebrate my age. Dani truly did a wonderful job helping with that! She put a lot of time & dedication into working with me with a consultation on clothing and background options. It was truly wonderful to have my hair & makeup done for the shoot too; knowing someone was taking care of that, took off a lot of pressure the day of. Women of all ages, shapes & sizes want to feel like a superstar/model sometimes & Dani made that happen. We are our own worst critics but with so many truly amazing photos to choose from, it was so easy to see my own beauty. As someone who normally dislikes photos, I was mesmerized by them & had trouble deciding on my favorites. Ladies – Take the picture (not behind the camera), flaunt your insecurities, flaunt your individual beauty & show the world how wonderful you are.“
